All You Need To Know About the 2019 Billboard Music Awards

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards ceremony will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 1, 2019. The ceremony will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson and will air live on NBC.

This year, Cardi B leads the 2019 Billboard Music Awards with 21 nominations in 18 categories, just one nomination away from breaking Drake & The Chainsmokers record of 22 nods in 2017. Cardi will compete against herself in three categories; Top Hot 100 Song, Top Selling Song and Top Collaboration. In all three of them, her song “I Like It” a collaboration with Bad Bunny & J Balvin will go up against Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” on which she was featured.

Few others artists including Ella Mai, Imagine Dragons, Bad Bunny, Ozuna and Nicky Jam too have double nominations in one or more categories.

As for the rest of the nominations, with Cardi B leading, we have Drake and Post Malone following her with 17 nods each. Travis Scott is up for 12 and XXXTentacion is up for 10 awards.

This year’s ceremony will include two fan-voted categories; Top Social Artist and Chart Achievement.

Here are some of the nominations.
