Burglar who robbed Simon Cowell’s home sentenced to 8 years in prison

The burglar convicted of breaking into Simon Cowell’s London home in 2015 has been sentenced to eight years behind bars.

Darren February was found guilty of taking money and jewellery totalling nearly $1.23 million Cowell’s $12.8 million mansion in the Holland Park area of the British capital in December, 2015, while Cowell, his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their baby son Eric were sleeping.

The punishment will be served concurrently with February’s eight-and-a-half year sentence for causing death by dangerous driving. That sentence began last year.

During the trial, Cowell, 57, submitted a statement to the court, revealing the home invasion had left him deeply worried about his family’s safety.
