Game of Thrones claims the top two spots of Top TV Songs Chart

HBO’s Game of Thrones is on to its final season and is also the talk of the town.  It has amassed a massive number of fans new and old and has also gained appearance on social media. Well, that’s not all. The series’ music has also been recognized  and is making it big with two of the songs dominating the top two spots on the Top TV Spots of April 2019 powered by Tunefind.

Top TV Songs rankings are generated through the song and show data provided by Tunefind along with the data of sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music.

GoT is atop the chart with Florence + the Machine’s “Jenny of Oldstones” which appears in the closing credits of the second episode of season eight (releaed April 21). The tracked gained up to 24,000 downloads and 3.2 million streams in April according to Nielsen Music. That data alone was all it needed for the track to debut at No. 1 on the Rock Digital Sales list dated May 4.

Ramin Djawadi’s “The Night King” sets its position at No. 2 with 9,000 downloads and 2.2 million streams following its appearance on the third episode which was released on April 28. Djawadi has been the composer for Game of Thrones dating back to the beginning of the series with the famous theme song.
