Justin Timberlake to Receive Special Honor From Songwriters Hall of Fame

Justin Timberlake has been a star loved by the old and the younger generation. His music has touched hearts and has been on top party anthem lists for decades.

This year, Justin Timberlake will be honored for his songwriting skills as the Songwriters Hall of Fame celebrate the 50th annual induction in New York. The pop star is to receive the Contemporary  Icon Award in recognition of his great songwriting artistry.

The award by the Songwriters Hall is presenters to a genius “songwriter-artist who has attained an iconic status in pop culture”. Timberlake will be the second artist to receive the honor after Lady Gaga who earned it in 2015.

The ex N’Sync singer, co-wrote all of his solo hits including “Cry Me a River”, “Sexy Back” and his Oscar nominated track “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”. He also co-wrote songs for N’Sync which are still hits.

The 2019 Songwriters Hall class includes Missy Elliott, Cat Stevens, Tom T. Hall, John Prine,  Jack Tempchin and Dallas Austin.
