The Swedish DJ, Tim Bergling, known professionally as Avicii, died in Muscat, Oman, on April 20, 2018. He was only 28 and died of an apparent suicide.
Almost a year later, his family wishes to help and save people with the new initiative, Tim Bergling Foundation which is set to focus on mental health and suicide prevention.
On March 26, Avicii’s family delivered information that the foundation revealing that it “will initially focus on supporting people and organizations working in the field of mental illness and suicide prevention.” The foundation will soon look in to climate change issues, endangered species, development assistance and nature conservation.
They even stated that Avicii wanted to make a difference and that starting the foundation in his name is their way to honor his memory and to act in his spirit.
